Subject: GLOBAL LOGISTICS & PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
Going into this year, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, supply issues have been creating havoc everywhere. All companies in our industry are experiencing the similar difficulties.
Global demand for product has remained high throughout the past six months. In many cases this has exceeded our capacity to supply and has therefore resulted in order backlogs across
a range of product.
Raw materials shortages are ongoing for both resins and metals across all of our product.
Logistics solutions remain compromised globally with a shortage of availability for both sea and air freight.
Government restrictions have impacted supply
Due to these continued circumstances, beyond our reasonable control, JST maintains the position that it may not be commercially or practically possible for us to continue to meet all customer expectations, thus putting us is in a Force Majeure position where JST cannot accept responsibility for line-down or other related supply chain costs.
As JST works on each area, it is not prudent to generalize as each product is impacted differently.
Despite all of these challenges, our teams remain fully committed to negotiating the best available outcomes and we will continue to work closely with our supply chain to overcome shortages and difficulties for you wherever we can.
JST is working with our suppliers to improve increase their output as well as working to qualify additional sources for resins and other raw materials.
We look forward to being able to return to our normal high levels of service and support for all of our valued customers.
